Ben Trombone writes: "The Hungry March Band, Brooklyn's waterfront weirdo street band, will be participating in a Radical Puppetry Festival in Glover, Vermont at the end of August. Though this event is put on by a bunch of Bread and Puppet alumni, it will be a separate event altogether, with workshops, discussions, performances, and no doubt plenty of improvisatory merry-making around the role of radical street theater in political action."

Anonymous Comrade writes: "This Saturday, July 28th supporters of Charas El Bohio will rally at Union Square beginning 12:00 noon to support this under-siege community cultural institution. Auctioned off by the city (read ratface gooliani) this is a major effort just before the July 31st eviction deadline.

Also, one new arrest was made and a second individual is being questioned regarding the murder of Armando Perez, beloved Charas co-founder and lower east side activist. Four individuals who were being held by police previously in connection with the murder were released.
